There are so many variables that make it impossible to predict the behavior of wild animals, even after all these decades. While zoo enclosures, “unbreakable” glass aquariums are a great first step in ensuring patrons’ safety, don’t be fooled into thinking that animals won’t have their own plans.
Was the beluga whale just playing? Was it playing around? It’s possible that neither was the case, but this quick photo has certainly given us a lot to think about.
