This was one of many incredible photos taken during the 2017 eclipse. This photo looks like it came out of a sci-fi or fantasy blockbuster. However, it was captured on the spot, most likely using a digital camera that is eclipse-ready, such as the Nikon 1.
Media called it “The Great American Eclipse” and most of us would only see it once. This was the first total solar eclipse to occur in the United States since 1918.
