Jane’s Ultimatum
The morning light flooded into the kitchen and cast a warm glow over everyone. The atmosphere was thick. Jane finally broke the silence by taking a deep breathe. She began with a firm voice, “Mom I need you understand something.”
“Tom, you and I have created a life together. It’s not perfect, but ours. If you cannot accept him without judgement, I will not be able share with you all of our truths. Her eyes were fixed on her mother, as she waited for a reply.
