13. Where do eels really come from? ?
Eels have been around for over 145 million year. The comparative anatomy of fossil larvae and adults revealed this. It’s amazing to think they have existed for so long, but only recently have we been able to solve the mystery. We have heard many theories and now we know the answer.
They leave North America and Europe to gather in the Sargasso sea, where they randomly mate and bring back eel babies.
