Hide her feelings
The house and its surroundings were not strange to them. Jackie wasn’t even home. Jackie’s car was missing. Pipa tried to hide her emotions, despite being upset. Jackie would have been told what she did, or labelled crazy by someone.
She couldn’t allow it to happen.
